Drive Me Crazy Review

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Drive Me Crazy by Lizzy Dent, is a sports romance for those who want an actual sports in their romance.

The story focuses around Chloe and Matt, childhood friends who have drifted apart in the world of formula one. Chloe finally secured a spot as a team principal for Arden racing, where she then finds out that Matt has been added to them team after a disastrous season.

As they come together to face both of there biggest fears (don't worry there is a nice locked in the room together moment), Chloe has to battle the fact she still has feelings for Matt while he comes to the realization that he has feelings for her. This is on top of the fact they battle the media, fears of the next season, and a team still finding their footing.

With a cast of fun backup characters like Barry the boss, Archie the brother, and Keyla the best friend you can't help but fall in love with this book

Some things I personally loved about this book:

  • The book takes on the topic of women in male dominated fields. By having a character like Jake (pretty much the one character there is to hate) shows some truth behind what women have to deal with.
  • The examples of anxiety with Matt after the accident. The book shows great growth and the different phases of coming to terms with something.
  • The romance level is perfect for me. I like different levels of romance in a book but I loved the fact that there was a focus on them and the actual sport.
  • There is character growth outside of just Chloe and Matt in the form of Barry. You get to see him grow into his true self during the book.
